During May Half Term and the Summer Holidays, alongside our group activities, we offer a 'Pop Up' lake hire service near to the Wasdale YHA from our garage, so there is no need to spend a good 20 minutes plus sweating in the Lake District heat (hopeful thinking), pumping up boards!

PICK UP BY THE LAKE - WASTWATER

This service is the POP-UP service we run throughout the School Holidays.
**From April - September, you can hire our boards from our HQ in Eskdale for a full day and take to the lake - these are packed up in a bag where you can inflate once you are there** See our Paddle Board Hire option below.

Our Lake Side Paddle Board package includes:
1 x High quality paddle board ready inflated
1 x Adjustable paddle
1 x Leash
1 x Buoyancy aid
A safety briefing and advice from a member of our experienced team.
We do not allow dogs on our inflatable paddle boards

2024 Rates: 3 hour hire £35
Hire Times: 10am - 1pm & 1.30pm - 4.30pm
A £5 discount on each board will be added if they are pre-booked in advance online, this includes the family board!

Wetsuits can be hired at an additional charge of £7.50 and can be added to the booking.
Extra Bouyancy Aids can also be hired on the day for an additional £5.

Full day hire (10am - 4.30pm): £45

• To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you book to hire stand up paddle boards (SUPs) through our website prior to the day.
• SUPs are deflated and picked up from West Lakes Adventures HQ in the Eskdale Valley in a suitcase sized pack for you to take to the Lake - this is a 20 minute drive from our office.
• SUPs can be hired subject to availability, from 10am and must be returned by 16:30.
• A compulsory bouyancy aid is included with all SUPs hired.
• You must be prepared to complete and sign a rental agreement and release of liability form.  The SUP hire agreement is secured with your debit/credit card and proof of ID, please bring this along with you otherwise you will not be able to take the boards away.
• Under 18’s need to be accompanied by an adult at all times during the activity.
• The hirer is liable if any damage is caused to the equipment whilst in their care. This damage includes all damage including punctures, scratches, loss or theft.
• Please be mindful of the Lake District weather conditions on the day and make sure you have some warm cloths to put on after the activity.
• We do not allow dogs on our inflatable paddle boards

We do not offer this service when the 'pop up' paddle board hire is in action.

Quite literally "a beast of a board".  The Beast SUP is big, burly and proves that one-size really fits all. The Beast's immensely wide design and maximum thickness delivers a solid platform for 6 -10 people (8 adults max or 10 with a mix of adults and children).
Just hop on, paddle, and play as a group.
Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by a participating adult at all times.
