We have a fantastic range of outdoor activities including ghyll scrambling, canoeing, kayaking, SUP (stand up paddle boarding), kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, archery and more! We can tailor a multi-activity adventure day for your group to include up to two activities (or three depending on choice of activities) or we can put together a multi-day package so you can experience as much on your holiday as possible.

Although we don’t specify minimum ages on our privately booked activities, some are not suitable for younger children. Please contact the office for options.

As parents, we understand that time is precious and making quality time with our children during our busy work lives can be very difficult. Tempting them away from there digital devices can be an almost impossible task, and sometimes you feel it is not worth the argument!

We find that the families who visit us have busy professional careers and just want a memorable and fun experience with their family, they may be here for a few days or the whole week.

Making memories with our children is a very important part of life and as part of your holiday West Lakes Adventure can provide your family with a fun adventure filled day or multiple days as well as guided mountain walking. We can offer you your own instructor for your stay, or you can book on to our programme of group activities which run from Easter – September.

Don’t worry if you are first timers, all specialist equipment is provided and we can advise on any basic kit required, plus we comprehensive range of equipment from waterproofs to fleece jackets, hats & gloves as well as walking boots and rucksacks.

If you are planning a family, group getaway or celebration, then we can put a package together to include our luxury glamping accommodation and activities with West Lakes Adventure.

For instance, a two-night stay in the Byres including a full multi-activity day with your own instructor from £120 per person.

Our site can sleep 32 people sharing or 18 in seperate bed spaces.

The Byres have bed spaces for up to 16 people sharing or 10 separate bed spaces, and the  four luxury Woodland Pods each sleep up to four in a fixed double bed and a large sofa bed, so up to 16 people sharing or 8 seperate bed spaces.

Prices do vary depending on time of year and number of people sharing each unit and are subject to availability. Minimum two night stay normally, and minimum numbers apply.
