WHAT IS SUP?
SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boarding) is a fantastically fun water activity and is fast becoming the paddle sport of choice, and we are excited to be the first Lake District based outdoor activity provider to introduce the sport.
An off shoot from Surfing it was believed to have originated from Hawaii but has now made its way to the UK and now the Lake District.
SUP is an exciting & fun sport that can be enjoyed by anyone, you don’t need to be super fit or super skilled to take part in the sport, it is surprisingly easy to get the hang of!
Whether on majestic lakes in spectacular scenery like Wastwater, the deepest lake in Engand or, on slow moving tidal rivers like the River Irt, the Lake District provides the perfect natural resources to try SUP for the first time.
All of our SUP programmes include a qualified instructor along with all specialist equiptment and we include the use of our quality wetsuits to help keep you warm and a bouyancy aid to keep you safe.

RIVER JOURNEYS
During your experience a qualified and highly experienced Coach will introduce you to SUP on moving water at a pace suitable for you. Our local friendly rivers provide the perfect environment to learn and at the same time enjoy the journey. One of our favourite Venues is the River Esk, which begins in a mountain environment and descends a number of small safe weirs that are easily navigable; it then evolves into a tidal river as it meanders towards the Ravenglass Estuary. We then use the outgoing tide to assist the journey for the last couple of miles into Ravenglass.

If you are intetrested in taking part in our Lake District SUP activities please either call us now on Eskdale 019467 23753 or contact us by email.
