To help take the stress out of organising a group trip whether it be a stag party, hen party or birthday party, we can help put a package together to include activities, accommodation, food and transport if required.

Eskdale is located in the more remote part of the Lake District, there are five great pubs in the valley, all serving home cooked food, real ale and fine wine ideal for stags, hens and any celebration.

With England's highest mountain - Scafell Pike and deepest lake - Wastwater, you really couldn't be in a better location to experience the outdoors.

The Woolpack Farm is home to West Lakes Adventure and Stay in Eskdale - luxury glamping accommodation. We also work with a number of other accommodation providers and can help you find a venue that suits your group’s needs, and can usually cater for groups of any size.

We work on a 1:10 or 1:12 max (depending on activity) client/instructor ratio.

The maximum number of participants for each activity may differ, for example we can cater for 18 paddle boarding, 10 kayaking and 16 canoeing at any one time due to the number of crafts we have, for example larger groups may take part in a multi-craft water sport as part of one large group as we would have several instructors, smaller groups with one instructor would take part in one activity at a time.

The fee includes full liability insurance, provision of highly qualified instructors chosen not just for their professionalism, but also their personality and ability to provide an unforgettable experience. We also provide all the specialist equipment of the highest standard and cleanliness, and if required any personal equipment such as waterproofs, fleece jackets, boots and rucksacks.

Our private programmes are completely bespoke and tailored exclusively to the needs of your group and the individuals taking part. The main benefits of this approach compared to the majority of suppliers who offer a standard ‘off the shelf programme’ are that we build your experience around your needs, your experience is provided exclusively for your party and you don’t have to compromise by joining a larger group of varying ability.

Our Accommodation 
Our Accommodation - Luxury Glamping at The Woolpack Farm – Beautiful luxury en-suite glamping, our accommodation consists of 'The Byres' glamping lodges and 'The Woodland Pods'. The Byres are three unique en-suite mini lodges which were part of an old barn, they have been transformed into high class rooms with an outside living space and fantastic views facing the Western Fells, two of which sleep up to 6 and one which sleeps up to 4. The Woodland Pods are four mega pods, each en-suite with a double bed and a double of sofa bed, they are located in a secluded woodland area with views of the valley and in a prime location to watch the sun set.

All in all there will be bed spaces for 30 people sharing or 19 separate bed spaces.

As an example, a two-night stay at The Woolpack Farm, including a full multi-activity day with your own instructor from £120 per person.

Stanley House
The large and welcoming house lends itself brilliantly to gatherings of friends and family for special occasions and celebrations.
Sleeping up to 26 in 12 spacious en-suite rooms, Stanley House can be booked exclusively for large group celebrations.
Stanley House is owned by our neighbouring pub and a package to include pre-activity breakfasts, packed lunches and evening meals can be arranged.

Eskdale YHA
Set in 15 acres of private grounds, the hostel is on the doorstep of the highest and most challenging Lakeland peaks.
YHA Eskdale has a full catering service and also provides a fully equipped self-catering kitchen.

There are 47 beds across 10 bedrooms. Private rooms are available for families or groups of friends. Two bedrooms with a double bed can sleep families of five. Dormitory beds are also available for individual travellers. Most of the rooms have fabulous views across the surrounding fields and mountains.

Irton Hall
Irton Hall is a great location for outdoor activities, it is a large hotel with an additional 7 self-catering lets in its beautiful historic building. The grounds can cater for team building activities and it is in close proximity to all of our water activities.

Esk View
Esk View is ideal for large groups, providing self-catering holiday accommodation for groups of up to 16 people. This spacious house stands alone in an area of stunning scenery, with exceptional views of the Lake District fells.
