Lake District Ghyll Scrambling & Canyoning
Ghyll scrambling and canyoning (or gorge walking as some may call it) are both exhilarating activities. They are our most popular activities by far!
The lake district is home to some of the UK’s finest and most exiting venues with something for almost every age and ability,
West Lakes Adventure are lucky enough to have one of the best, the Esk Ghyll in the Eskdale valley on our doorstep, this is a full day activity. We also have a great half day venue in the Wasdale Valley, a 20 minute drive from our base here in Eskdale.
Ghyll Scrambling, is effectively scrambling up a mountain stream and Canyoning is jumping into deep pools and allowing the fast flow of the water to carry you, with either of our venues you get abit of both!
