KAYAKING
Kayaking was created by the Inuits thousands of years ago and were used for hunting, moving accross the water stealth like. Kayak translates to 'Hunters Boat'.
Our Fleet of Brand New (2016) Kayaks are soley used for fun and are a great cross-over kayak for use on Lakes and Rivers.  They are super stable, fast and easy to paddle.
Whether on majestic lakes in spectacular scenery like Wastwater, the deepest lake in Engand and then perhaps moving on to slow moving tidal rivers like the River Esk, the Lake District provides the perfect natural resources to try kayaking for the first time.
All of our kayaking programmes include a qualified instructor along with all specialist equiptment and we include the use of our quality wetsuits to help keep you warm and a bouyancy aid to keep you safe.

RIVER JOURNEYS
During your experience a qualified and highly experienced Coach will introduce you to kayak on moving water at a pace suitable for you.  We suggest a practice session on the Lake prior to the river journey to get the hang of things.  Our local friendly rivers provide the perfect environment to learn and at the same time enjoy the journey. One of our favourite Venues is the River Esk, which begins in a mountain environment and descends a number of small safe weirs that are easily navigable; it then evolves into a tidal river as it meanders towards the Ravenglass Estuary. We then use the outgoing tide to assist the journey for the last couple of miles into Ravenglass.

If you are intetrested in taking part in our Lake District SUP activities please either call us now on Eskdale 019467 23753 or contact us by email.
